Berlin loves Pearl Jam and Pearl Jam loves Berlin and in particular the very special atmosphere of the open-air stage at the Wuhlheide. That's why the band will be back right there in 2014 - after they have played there in 2006, 2009 and 2010 - to celebrate the new songs of their album "Lightning Bolt" as well as old songs like "Alive", "Daughter" or "Better Man".
In 1991, Pearl Jam's debut album, Ten, catapulted the little-known Seattle-based band into superstardom. Ten studio albums, hundreds of unique live performances and hundreds of official live concert bootleg releases later, the band continue to be critically acclaimed and commercially successful -- with over 60 million albums sold worldwide.
Over the past twenty-two years, the band has remained a major force in rock and roll, as much for its aggressive loyalty to its social and political principles and restless experimentation as for its rock radio staples and bestselling albums.
